What is Inside Safe?

Inside Safe

• Declaring a state of emergency in 2022, Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass launched Inside Safe to bring unhoused people inside from tents and encampments, and to prevent encampments from returning.
• Operations are conducted in collaboration with members of the Los Angeles City Council, the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors, the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority, and multiple service providers.
• In the first year of the program, it brought more than 21,000 Angelenos inside.
