Resource Day

How can you help? Be a volunteer. Specifically, find good ways to spend two to five hours a month to share your skills and your energy to help your unhoused neighbors meet urgent needs or connect to services and housing.

Volunteer with Better Angels

A great way to volunteer is to come out for a two-hour shift at a Better Angels Resource Day. You only need to bring yourself -- and maybe a friend or two. Visit volunteer.betterangels.la for ways you can volunteer in or near your neighborhood. Or, email us at volunteer@betterangels.la to share your ideas, so we can help you connect to meaningful, fulfilling work.

Don’t be afraid to help

Some potential volunteers really want to help, but are afraid to be around people experiencing homelessness. If that’s you, consider this: “Unhoused people are not more likely to be criminals than any other neighbor. Being homeless is not a crime,” says Elissa Unton, Services Lead at Better Angels. “Data show that unhoused people are much more likely to be victims of crime than perpetrators.”

We hope to see you at an event soon!

Elissa is a long-time Angeleno who believes in the power of our collected imagination, energy, and abundance to create and nurture thriving neighborhoods where we all flourish together.
