Of the more than 75,000 people experiencing homelessness in Los Angeles County, over 52,000 are unsheltered. This figure includes individuals who are living outdoors or in vehicles. 

Total Unsheltered Homeless Population by Service Planning Area*

  • SPA 1 (Antelope Valley) - 3,833
  • SPA 2 (San Fernando) - 8,064
  • SPA 3 (San Gabriel) - 3,458
  • SPA 4 (Metro) - 12,846
  • SPA 5 (West) - 5,235
  • SPA 6 (South) - 8,431
  • SPA 7 (East) - 5,070
  • SPA 8 (South Bay) - 5,370

Total - 52,307

*The above includes data from the Los Angeles Continuum of Care, which excludes the cities of Glendale, Long Beach, and Pasadena
